No offers for ´happy´ Bellerin, insists Arsenal full-back´s agent

Hector Bellerin is happy at Arsenal and it is difficult to see him leaving the Premier League club, according to his agent.

The Spain full-back signed a long-term contract with his current employers in November 2016, yet that has not stopped media speculation over his future at the Emirates Stadium.

While rumours of a potential return to former club Barcelona failed to materialise last year, Juventus and Manchester United have been linked with a move for Bellerin.

However, Albert Botines who represents the 23-year-old is unaware

of any offers and believes the player has no plans to leave Arsenal in the next transfer window.

There s no contact for Bellerin, no-one has sought me out, Botines told Italian radio station CRC.

Real Madrid v Cordoba: Ancelotti eyes recovery after Supercopa defeat

Carlo Ancelotti expects his Real Madrid side to shake off Supercopa de Espana disappointment in Monday s La Liga opener against Cordoba.

The European champions were beaten 2-1 on aggregate by city rivals Atletico Madrid in the Supercopa with Friday s 1-0 defeat at the Vicente Calderon ultimately proving Real s undoing.

Luka Modric s dismissal compounded a difficult night for Ancelotti s charges, but they have little time to dwell on the loss as they begin their league campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real have not won the league since 2012 and were unable to take advantage of Barca s difficult campaign last time out as Atleti clinched their first title in 16 years.

While Ancelotti successfully delivered the Copa del Rey and La Decima to the Bernabeu f…

Dortmund confirm Kagawa capture

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed Shinji Kagawa will return to the club following an underwhelming stint at Manchester United.

Kagawa left Dortmund in 2012 to move to Old Trafford, but was unable to nail down a regular starting place under Alex Ferguson or David Moyes.

First-team action proved no easier to come by for the Japan midfielder in the early stages of Louis van Gaal s reign at United.

And Kagawa will now be reunited with Jurgen Klopp at Dortmund, who have tied the 25-year-old to a four-year deal after agreeing to pay an undisclosed fee.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said: Shinji Kagawa is a technically highly gifted creative player who can determine the pace of an encounter.

He wanted [a move] back to Borussia Dortmund and we are sure…

Verdict: Moldova to score

Bookmaker:

Moldova is travelling to the Czech Republic with hopes of finishing 2nd in Group E and achieving history. The match will start at 21:45 with more than 12 000 fans backing their favorites to win.

Czech Republic

The Czech Republic lacked consistency in the Euro Qualifiers campaign with many unconvincing results. The hosts are 2nd with 11 points with Albania topping the group. Scoring only 9 goals in 7 matches shows a lack of accuracy in front of the opposition s goal. The latest results highlight that Czech Republic s form is dipping after pulling a narrow home win against Faroe Island (1-0) and suffering a heavy defeat at leaders Albania (3-0). However, the team is undefeated at home this campaign displayi…

Holloway swaps Blackpool for Palace

Ian Holloway has left his post at Blackpool to become the new Crystal Palace manager.

Steve Parish, the London club s chairman, had confirmed to the BBC on Friday that an approach had been made for the Blackpool boss and the switch has now been made official, the 49-year-old signing a four-and-a-half-year contract.

Holloway was unhappy with his rolling contract with Blackpool and made clear that he wanted a more secure deal.

He told reporters days before his departure: Will I be the Blackpool manager for the rest of my life? No, I can t see that happening.

I wish Ian all the best in his new role, Blackpool s majority shareholder Owen Oyston told BBC Radio Lancashire.

He has done a fantastic job for us during his time here and will be remembere…

Son-in-law? Conte eulogises over Spurs star, though Richarlison´s showboating frustrates Forest boss

Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte has no doubt Son Heung-min will hit the goal trail soon, declaring the forward s temperament would even make him a perfect son-in-law.

Son shared the Premier League s Golden Boot award with Liverpool s Mohamed Salah last season but is yet to find the net in the 2022-23 campaign.

Harry Kane has instead been the main provider of Spurs goals in their four games so far, and it was Kane s double that saw off Nottingham Forest 2-0 on Sunday.

Yet Conte has no concerns over Son, who he believes is the perfect example to his squad of an upstanding man.

Sonny is a really sensible player. He s a top man, a really good guy. If I had to find a husband for my daughter, I would like it to be a person like him, Conte said in a news co…

Chelsea´s Terry on US tour, but Cole ruled out

Captain John Terry has joined Chelsea for their pre-season tour of the USA, but midfielder Joe Cole has been ruled out following knee surgery, the Premier League club confirmed on Thursday.

There has been much speculation about Terry s future after Manchester City revealed they had made an offer for the defender, but Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon insisted on Wednesday that the player is not for sale.

And, despite reports that City are still pursuing the player, Chelsea have now confirmed that Terry will join up with the rest of the squad for the four-match pre-season tour.

Meanwhile, Cole required the operation to correct a small tear to his meniscus in his knee and is expected back in full training in one month.

The midfielder had recently recove…

Arteta impressed by Arsenal ´desire´ in draw at Bournemouth

Mikel Arteta said the 1-1 draw against Bournemouth was a good start to his tenure as Arsenal manager.

Dan Gosling s opener for hosts Bournemouth was cancelled out by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the break.

It was Arteta s first match as Gunners head coach, having left the team in the hands of Freddie Ljungberg for the game at Everton last Saturday.

The former Manchester City number two is back at the club he played for with distinction, and has the task of lifting Arsenal from their current mid-table station.

The unfamiliar lowly position leaves Arteta with plenty to look at, and he was impressed by his players resolve.

Arteta said on Amazon Prime: I am pleased with a lot of things that I ve seen today, and a lot of things that we practised tha…
